No it’s not the Loch Ness Monster, but we would forgive you for thinking so. Introducing the Frilled Shark, possibly one of the most bizarre Sharks around.  The Frilled Shark, not getting much over 2m long is a living fossil and one of the least seen shark species, possibly because it can live at depths in excess of 1000m.

With 25 rows that maintain 300 triangular shaped needle sharp teeth, you would immediately be filled with fear, but fear not; those intimidating teeth are designed to eat other sea animals such as squid, cuttlefish, octopus and other sharks. It is believed that their diet is more than 60% cephalopods (marine mollusks). The creatures that have been found in the frilled shark's stomach are generally slippery (unlike humans) and its teeth are perfect for scoffing their flesh.

Have a look at this rare footage of the Frilled Shark, not pretty, but certainly a pretty special creature.
